The Beast
Cast in the spring of 2020, this nest went down through an extremely large rock, resulting in a massive sculpture which took most of a day to unearth. The native stone will work well in an outdoor setting, or as part of a water feature.

Wee Beastie 2
A mix of 90% copper 10% aluminum produced golden aluminum bronze. This small mound section was cast in the fall of 2021. While the full nest failed to cast, the small portion that did cast was perfect as a small gift. Cheers!

A mix of 90% copper 10% aluminum produced golden aluminum bronze. This medium mound was cast in the summer of 2021. It features small stones throughout the mound. A good example of a typical Hill Country nest.

This larger mound was cast in the summer of 2021, and has a dense layout with many smaller stones scattered throughout the cast. From the size this would have been a late middle-aged mound of around five years.

A mix of 92% copper 8% aluminum produced a dark colored aluminum bronze. This large mound was cast in the summer of 2021, and has a dense layout with unusually large tunnels. As a result it is quite heavy and needed a substantial base.

A mix of 90% copper 10% aluminum produced golden aluminum bronze. This medium mound was cast in the summer of 2021. It features small stones at the ‘top’ of the mound. The smooth side areas are where additional stones rested, but were not ‘captured’ in the cast.

A mix of 90% copper 10% aluminum produced golden aluminum bronze. This small mound section was cast in the summer of 2021, and has an open layout. The diagonal angle of the tunnels needed a large dark base, which comes from rescued ‘scrap’ redwood.
